Positive press for the 1933 Big Creek Barbecue

About 130 local yachtsmen and their friends thoroughly enjoyed the Schooner Barbecue, the first social event of the season, held at the Coast Counties Gas & Electric company’s cottage on Big Creek Sunday. The affair was a great success.

Games were played and an informal program of entertainment presented The chief feature, of course, was the barbecue, put on in the real style by Chefs Harry Buckhart and Hi Faneuf, the old masters.

Dick Willets was the chairman in charge, while Commodore C. G. Hammer, H. H. Holley and Harry Lachman where among those who assisted.
