Santa Cruz’in Under Starlight Together

The Santa Cruz Yacht Club, with support from the Santa Cruz Port District, invites ALL boaters to join the 31st Annual Lighted Boat Parade in Santa Cruz, California. The parade will take place at the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor’s South Harbor on Saturday, December 3rd 2016. The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Participants will be judged in the categories of Theme, Lights, and Music. Prizes will be awarded and handed out at the SCYC clubhouse after the parade based on your participation in the following divisions.

1. POWER BOATS (less than 31 feet)
2. POWER BOATS (31 feet and over)
3. SAILBOATS (less than 31 feet)
4. SAILBOATS (31 feet and over)
5. PEOPLE POWERED (rowboats, kayaks, inflatables, etc.)
6. STATIONARY VESSELS (in slip or in SCYC Dry Dock)

THEME: Santa Cruz’in Under Starlight Together

ENTRY FEE: $40 which includes a specially designed Memento Long Sleeve T-shirt for the skipper. Additional Long Sleeve T’s may be ordered (see form below). Entries must be post marked by November 22nd. Entry fee after November 22nd is $50. (Late entry may result in limited options/availability of shirt sizes). Registration Fees are on-refundable—The Parade will precede Rain or Shine!

SKIPPERS’ MEETING: 3:00 p.m. on Parade Day at SCYC boat hoist — Attendance Mandatory. Parade route and protocol will be finalized. ** NUMBER PLACARDS ** will be issued for each vessel at the SCYC clubhouse between 1 to 3:00. Pre-ordered Memento Long Sleeve T-Shirts will be distributed and additional ones will be available for purchase.

AWARDS: An awards party will be held at the SCYC clubhouse following the parade. All entrants and crew are invited immediately after the parade ends. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded and handed out at 8pm – must be present to win. Please return number placards. Chili, clam chowder and beverages will be available.
