The Santa Cruz Yacht Club’s library of burgees, as exchanged with the Santa Cruz Yacht Club and it’s membership.
The Burgee is a distinguishing flag, often triangular, but not always, which is flown by a vessel to represent her home affiliation. Vessels often fly the burgee from the main masthead or from a halyard under the lowermost starboard spreader, or off a short staff at the bow on motor yachts.
Our collection of burgees has been curated over the life of the Santa Cruz Yacht Club and has been built by visitors to our club and by our traveling membership to yacht clubs and sailing organizations around the Globe. The collection servers to remind us of our rich past welcoming sailors from far and wide to beautiful Santa Cruz, California.
Please be patient as we update our database.
